Child Development

Course number: GS2181DIR • Credit hours: 3 hrs

This course introduces the holistic perspective of child development (conception to age 14) from a Christian worldview. Students will be given the opportunity to study profiles of children in different situations in order to learn how the environment affects a child’s development. Attention will be given to parent and family dynamics as being the primary educator of their child.

This is a directed study course: the instructor will develop the course of study with the student including instruction, related experiential activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for this course. Students will take this course at a distance but are welcome to join the class via video conference (i.e., Skype or FaceTime).  Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is also encouraged.
