The student’s skill development in children’s ministry will be addressed, building on insights from the Introductory Practicum. These skills will be honed throughout the year through practical assignments and discussion of assigned readings. Particular attention will be given to how leaders can provide pastoral care for children in crisis and how to help children develop a vibrant faith in good and bad times in their lives.
This is a directed study course: the instructor will develop the course of study with the student including instruction, related experiential activities, and assessment of learning outcomes for this course. Students will take this course at a distance but are welcome to join the class via video conference (i.e., Skype or FaceTime). Face-to-face interaction with the instructor is also encouraged.
