Distance Education Course: Evangelical Christian churches require awareness of legal issues in a complex society.
Course Description: The myriad of legal issues today require the Evangelical Christian to possess an awareness of the implications of decisions in the local church or para-church ministry. While this course is not designed to make “ministers into lawyers” it will afford the student insights into key issues such as:
– land title transactions
– wills and estates
– divorce and remarriage
– charitable status of churches and para-church organizations
While this course is developed from a Canadian context, IBOLT will adapt it to the student’s nation of residence.
